Prior to starting English For Tech I had no idea about the importance of politeness and cultural differences in the English-speaking world.

For almost 2 years, I used to speak with my English-speaking managers through a "Ukrainian" culture lens and I kept wondering why communication was difficult and there was always some barrier I couldn't break down. After taking the course, I realized that it's not just about "English", it's about the differences in culture and how that comes across in communication. What's really cool is that now I can have actual conversations with my English-speaking colleagues and managers and communicating with them got that much easier.

I am glad that I joined.
The course format was just right for me: I could learn when I had free time and at my own pace. I liked how the course was organized, it was constantly being improved based on our feedback and enriched with new ideas, and new materials (just like IT projects).

I needed to update my LinkedIn profile

Module 3 for me came as a stroke of luck because I needed to update my LinkedIn profile at exactly that time. I'd found a new job and wanted to change my LinkedIn summary from an applicant/beginner description to one that would show me as a professional QA engineer.
I knew that that topic was included in the course when I bought it but it was such a happy coincidence to start on this module at the time I needed it most.
I really appreciate that English4IT makes a point to share practical tips & tricks related to culture and communication.

English has become a part of my life

Anna is not just a unique teacher of English, no. She is a wizard, a mentor, a personal motivator. She has a lot of energy and shares it with all students. She gets students to work every day. She teaches people how to build a habit of learning English every day. And it works. I found time in my busy schedule (I work as a Business analyst and I have two children) for learning English. I finished the course sucessfully.
